      It works! just make it as Y-1 = 00 - 1 = -1 ( in 4th row 2nd column). 4th row looks like this...21, -1 , 13 , 08

      The trick is same. but you will get negative numbers on M. Write those negative numbers on M as it is. eg. M-1 = 1-1 =0, M-2= 1-2=-1, M-3 = -2 etc.

    this one is a different type of magic square, this one is 4x4 rows the other is 3x3 this one is odd numbers the 4x4 is even numbers, so there is a difference between the 2 even if it works out...

    One can readily verify that this is true but this is not how you teach mathematics. Much more important than knowing a trick to obtain an answer is to understand why the answer is what it is. Do you really expect people to just memorize that if x+1/x=y then x^2+1/x^2=y^2-2 and x^3-1/x^3=y^3-3y? What is the point in memorizing that? I would bet that anybody that saw this video will have forgotten this by tomorrow morning. At least you could have proven those identities, then the video would provide an example of some algebraic manipulation instead of being a complete waste of time.
